RACE FOR THE CURE — Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) take off in search of Katherine (also played by Nina Dobrev) and find themselves in a small town in Pennsylvania, where Elena has a surprising encounter with another old acquaintance — Elijah (guest star Daniel Gillies). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are both concerned about Elena’s state of mind and are determined to do what’s best for her, but she makes it clear that helping her will be difficult. Damon is not sure how to react when Stefan reveals his unexpected plan for the future. Meanwhile, in Mystic Falls, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) receives Caroline’s (Candice Accola) reluctant help and comes to a new understanding of Silas’ powers. Kellie Cyrus directed the episode written by Evan Bleiweiss & Jose Molina (#418).
Whoah buddy! This episode is going to be amazing. We have the possibility of seeing Katherine again, Elijah making his return AND Klaus getting jiggy with Caroline. That’s right. You heard us. Klaus and Caroline might finally happen… on some level at least. Check out what Joseph Morgan said about Klaus potentially getting some action in episode 4×18 in his interview with Spoiler Chat.
We can’t say who Klaus is finally hooking up with, but we can tell you that Joseph Morgan says fans will not want to miss episode 18. And says it’s a big Klaroline episode. Hmmm, As for the shirtlessness, Morgan says, “He hasn’t really ever kissed anyone! I mean in the form of Tyler he has, but I think he’s finally going to get some action. It’s going to be interesting. Also, I’ve gotten away with a year and half of keeping my clothes on, on the CW, which I think must be a record! They probably thought, ‘Hang on a minute, he’s getting that spin off,’ so I’ve spending a lot of time in the gym.
Holy smokes! That statement has made us more excited than any other spoiler news has all season. If Klaus and Caroline do in fact get it on, our brains might melt and we might have full-fledged mental breakdowns that leave us unable to function for days, possibly weeks. We’re going to try to remain calm because we know how they love getting our hopes up and tricking us. However, the fact that Joseph said he’d been working out in preparation of removing his shirt is enough for us.
Two things concern us about this episode. Why are they so concerned about Elena’s state of mind? If they’re that worried she must have fallen completely off the wagon. I mean, she’d have to have lost it if she’s hanging out with Rebekah (who tried to kill her a couple times). Our guess is that she’s helping Rebekah find the cure. Also, the fact that Stefan reveals his “unexpected plan for the future” is worrisome. What the hell does that mean? Is he going to force feed Elena the cure? Is it even cure-related at all? His plans usually involve doing what he thinks is right for someone else despite whatever they may think, so we’re sure his “plans” won’t be well received all around.
